What counts, and what is not measured
Only 1.8% of the domains cited in our five combined corpora are cited by all three AIs.
Within a single response, AIs most often cite only one page per site: 85 to 95% of cases with Claude, 84 to 92% with Gemini, 61 to 79% with ChatGPT (three corpora).
Reddit, YouTube, and Wikipedia are retrieved in large numbers by ChatGPT, but cited in only 0 to 1.5% of cases (four corpora).
90 to 97% of the HTML pages that ChatGPT retrieved in its results do not have a title in the form of a question (five corpora).
