My company is not based in France: what VAT applies?

In the European Union, if your VAT number is verified with the European Commission (VIES), the invoice is issued excluding VAT, under the reverse charge system. Without a verified number, French VAT applies. Outside the European Union, French VAT does not apply; Monaco follows the French rule. VAT is displayed before payment as soon as your billing information is saved in your client area.
